Net interest-bearing liabilities amounted to MNOK 162 at the end of the first quarter, compared with MNOK 124 the previous year.

Gross investments in machinery and equipment in the first quarter totalled MNOK 151 (MNOK 140), whereas sales of machinery and equipment amounted to MNOK 1 (MNOK 37).

The Group's total assets stood at MNOK 8,176 at the end of the quarter (MNOK 8,838). The equity ratio was 23.7 per cent
(24.3 per cent).

Veidekke's unused, committed borrowing facilities amounted to MNOK 1,585 at the end of the quarter.
