Scandinavian HSE award to Finnmark region
As part of the Group's systematic work to create a safer workplace, each year a special Scandinavian HSE day is held. The aim of the event is to spotlight current challenges, and to provide management opportunity to communicate related priorities. The event is held in turn in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. During the event, a separate HSE award is presented to a region in the Group, which has distinguished itself by particularly good work. Four strong candidates from all our Scandinavian businesses participated, and the one which demonstrated the greatest accomplishment in 2009 was Finnmark region in Norway. The panel emphasised in its decision that Finnmark over the last four years had no injuries, and that sickness absence had developed very positively.
