Veidekke, with headquarters in Oslo, more than 6 000 employees, and a turnover in 2009 of 15.6 billion kroner, is one of Scandinavia's largest and most solid building contractors and property developers. Veidekke was established in 1936 and was listed in 1986 on the Oslo Stock Exchange’s primary index.
Veidekke's activities fall into three areas:
- Construction: Building and construction operations in Norway, Sweden and Denmark
- Property: Development and sale of housing for our own account in Norway, Sweden and Denmark
- Industry: Operations in asphalt, crushed stone and gravel, road maintenance and recycling in Norway and Sweden
