Parliament adopted on 19 February this year a new AFP scheme (contractual early retirement) with effect from 1 January 2010. This means that previous years' allocations for future AFP costs should be attributed to those of its employees who are born before 31 December 1948. According to calculations, a previously booked pension liability of approximately MNOK 95 will be transferred and recorded as a reduction in Veidekke’s salary costs in 2010.
