Veidekke aims to provide shareholders with high and stable return on their investment in the company.

Return on Investment

It is Veidekke’s aim to give its shareholders a high and stable return on their investment in the company. Since Veidekke was first listed on the stock exchange in 1986, its shareholders have had an average annual return of 17.2 per cent (per Dec. 31 2010). Prices on the Oslo Stock Exchange have risen by 10.0 per cent during the same period. The return in 2010 was 11.4 per cent, while the Oslo Stock Exchange rose with 18.3 per cent.

In 2010, 21.8 million Veidekke shares were traded on the Oslo Stock Exchange, with a turnover rate of 16.3 % and a total of 22,205 trades in the course of the year.

For the accounting year 2010 a dividend of NOK 2.50 per share was paid.



Ownership structure

At 31 December 2010, Veidekke had 7,059 shareholders. The company's largest shareholders are OBOS Forretningsbygg (28.0 per cent), IF Skadeförsäkring AB (8.8 per cent) and Folketrygdfondet (7.2 per cent). A total of 3,035 employees hold 19.4 per cent of the shares in the company (Dec. 31 2010). The percentage of foreign investors decreased in 2010 from 23.1 to 22.8 per cent.

Veidekke’s share capital at 31 December 2010 was NOK 66, 852, 471 divided into 133, 704, 942 shares of NOK 0.50 each. Veidekke has always had one share class and each share carries one vote.
