Sponsorships and support

Support to local culture and sports

One of Veidekke's most important value drivers is interaction with the customer. We know from experience that the total quality of a project increases through good cooperation, and this is why interaction for adding value is a central component in Veidekke's business philosophy. It entails that we seek to create win-win situations through dialogue, cooperation and mutual trust in all phases of a building project – and good relations is a key term in this respect. Veidekke's support to culture and sports provides numerous important contributions to the local communities' recreational activities, while also creating common arenas for building relations with both existing and potential clients.

Veidekke's numerous commitments in various local communities around the country fall into three main categories:

  • Development agreements. These are projects where sponsorship and business operations go hand in hand. A good example is our collaboration agreement with the Norwegian Asthma and Allergy Association, which contributes to a good exchange of expertise in terms of creating a good living and working environment.
  • Talent agreements. These are projects where traditional sponsorship and internal skills development go hand in hand.
  • Culture and sports. Veidekke has a large number of large and small sponsor involvements in culture and sports. Some examples are the 2009 Veidekke games at Lillehammer (athletics), Lysgårdsbakken at Lillehammer, Norges Fleridrettsforbund, Norwegian People's Aid and the Barratt Dues Institute of Music in Oslo. In Sweden we are involved in Marabouparken in Sundbyberg, RNS (Riksförbundet Narkotikafritt Samhälle), Skolbarnens Trafikkalender and a number of local sports associations.
