Reporting determines principles and indicators that companies can use to measure and report their financial, environmental and social results (also termed a triple bottom line). At the core of the framework are the Sustainability Reporting Guidelines http://www.globalreporting.org/ReportingFramework/G3Guidelines/ . The framework also includes country and sector-specific indicators. Veidekke has used GRI as a standard for all corporate social responsibility reports, and will from 2011 fully implement the GRI standard in our corporate social responsibility.
A socially responsible company
Veidekke often receives requests from investment companies wishing to review Veidekke's corporate social responsibility, and it is becoming more and more common that investment companies establish separate funds consisting of companies that comply with the requirements that are made toward socially responsible companies.
As early as 2008 Veidekke was certified as a company with good corporate social responsibility by Kempen Capital Management in the Netherlands. Veidekke was reappraised in 2010 and was approved as a company that fulfils all requirements towards a socially responsible company and which may be recommended by Kempen to all investors.
In accordance with the GRI standard for reporting corporate social responsibility, Veidekke works for transparency and verifiability in all of our activities, such that those who wish may quickly investigate whether we comply with applicable requirements towards a socially responsible company.
